With business acquisitions on the increase, this practical course will look at the HR implications of acquiring a business. The course will cover: the initial due diligence needed by the acquiring business; what the legal implications are for staff; whether the TUPE regulations will apply and if so how to consult with staff; how to manage the transfer of staff to a new employer; and how to harmonise terms and conditions of employment.

Trainer

Guy HollebonGuy Hollebon, a specialist employment solicitor at Folllett Stock LLP deals with all aspects of employment law and advises both employers and senior employees on matters including, on the contentious side, claims for: unfair dismissal, redundancy, TUPE issues, breach of contract, sex, race, disability, religion and belief and age discrimination, whistle blowing and part-time worker discrimination. Guy has extensive experience as an Advocate representing employers and employees in the employment tribunal. Guy has developed substantial experience of appellate court work; particularly Employment Appeal Tribunal cases but also Court of Appeal cases. Guy is a specialist employment mediator and sits as a part time Employment Judge.

Cancellations

Cancellations received in writing up to one month before the event will be refunded in full, less an administration charge of £100 + VAT. We cannot accept cancellations after that time.
